No cookies, no local storage, no identifier of any kind is written to your device. That is why you were not asked to accept anything: there is nothing to accept.
We count page views, using a third-party analytics provider, to learn which pages people find useful. The measurement is configured to store nothing on your device and to truncate your IP address before it is recorded, so the result is a count rather than a profile. Each visit is counted independently; we cannot tell that you have been here before.
Two actions are recorded alongside the page they happened on:
Both record only that the click happened and where. Neither records anything about you.
Our analytics provider processes this on our instructions and may do so outside your country. We do not sell it, and it is not used for advertising or combined with anything else to identify you.
The web server keeps short-lived technical logs — the page requested, the time, the browser, and the network address it came from — which is how any web server runs and how we notice that something is broken or under attack. They are not used to build a picture of an individual.
We keep what you send and our reply, so that a conversation makes sense the second time you write. It is used to answer you and for nothing else.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to how it is used, and to complain to your data protection authority. Because this site stores no identifier, we usually hold nothing that could be traced back to a visitor — so for the site itself there is typically nothing to produce. Email we have exchanged with you is the exception, and those rights apply to it in full.
